Venison has a wonderfully woody, fruity flavour which is simply delicious. It is much lower in fat and cholesterol than beef, chicken, lamb or pork making it a favourite with the health conscious or those on restrictive diets. It is also packed full of nutrients and vitamins, including vitamin B, iron and phosporus. It is naturally reared, free from antibiotics and steroids.
Given Venison's very low fat content, it will dry out if overcooked. We suggest you grill the meat, brushing it on either side with a little olive oil, then cook it to your liking, although no more than medium done.
