Wild Boar

Wild boar is the natural ancestor of the domesticized pig. Historically, it was only found in the northern hemisphere, across the breadth of Europe, including the UK. However, it has been introduced all over the world and can now be found in Asia, Africa, the Americas and Australia.

Wild boar has an intense, nutty and slightly sweet flavour. As you would expect it has some similarity to domestic pork products. It is lean and an excellent source of protein. This popular wild meat can be prepared in the same way as you would cook organic pork.
